Shopping for wedding supplies!
Monday, April 20th, 2009I knew there were a lot of wedding supplies needed when planning a wedding and reception, but I never realized just how much. I’m glad I listened to the girls at work, when they told me I better start my wedding shopping right away. I had no idea taking care of all our dresses and the guys tuxes would be easier than the rest. There was a lot more to do than I thought there was. First of all I had to get out the invitations for our western themed ceremony and reception party. Then I went down the list of wedding party supplies I had written out, and crossed them off as I bought them. First off, I needed to find the right decorations for our country themed reception. I decided to take a friends advice and see what there was to offer online before I started going from store to store. I was amazed at what a big selection they had to offer
Who knew that if you shopped online for wedding accessories for themed weddings that there were be so many great ideas, not just for my country themed wedding, but for many others too. Everyone got a kick out of the place card holders that I bought for our reception tables. The little barbecue grills were the ideal place card holders for a reception that was having a cookout too.
The wildflowers in metal campfire cups with western garland made perfect country type centerpieces. There were really super cheap wedding supplies for our wedding guests included in all the wedding reception supplies. In the wedding accessories selection were some super cowboys hats for the bride and groom that I ordered. Believe it or not, they also had terrific western champagne flutes for the bride and groom toast. I also had them hang white christmas lights all around the reception area and scatter a few old western type lanterns here and there. Our beautiful wedding cake with the old west cake topper really added to our bridal table. With all the themed accessories and decorations for the reception and the tables, anyone could pull off the perfect western wedding. I found everything from my wedding album to my serving set, including, little cowboy hats for our tables and a gorgeous wedding guest book and pen set in a uniquely styled western theme. I got everything for my western themed wedding and reception accessories by browsing the web, and it was all so easy to do.
Obviously I couldn’t get the bales of hay, large barbecue grills and a few other things like that online, so I did have to do a little store shopping. Well, I didn’t really get those things, the credit goes to my fiance and his friend, they took care of those items. They also built a dance floor that we could all enjoy. Along with the super cool floor to dance on and a country band that sounded great, we had all kinds of fantastic food to eat. They grilled chicken, steaks ribs and more, and the buffet table was filled with all kinds of salads. Everyone really enjoyed themselves.
A few of our friends and family commented on how great our western decorations were. Going online to search for accessories and décor ideas really paid off. The convenience of sitting at home and shopping, then ordering my choices, and just waiting for delivery was the best part of all. It really beats running all over the city looking for what I need for my wedding and reception. And another great thing about where I got all my wedding accessories was that they have a great selection of discount wedding supplies to choose from. Before you run from place to place, take my advice and try online browsing for your supplies first.
